Delete your account

Delete it in the app

Open Marci, go to Profile, tap Delete account and confirm. Deletion starts straight away, finishes within 24 hours, and cannot be undone. If you signed in with Apple, we also tell Apple to drop the link between your Apple ID and Marci.

If you would like a copy of your data first, email us before you delete.

No longer have the app?

Email privacy@getmarci.ai from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my account. If you signed in with Apple using a hidden email, tell us so and we will find the account another way.

We check that the request comes from the account holder, delete the account and everything listed below, and email you when it is done. We complete these requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your profile, sign-in details and settings
• Your conversations with Marci, your memories and your goals
• The apps Marci built for you, and the data in them
• Health and fitness data from Apple Health or Health Connect
• Data from accounts you connected, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion or Strava. We also revoke Marci's access to them.
• The photos, voice recordings and files you shared
• Your personal encryption keys. Marci encrypts your data with keys unique to you, and destroying them means the content they protected can no longer be read.

What is kept, and why

• Shared apps and rooms: things you added to an app or a room you shared with other people stay for them, with your name removed. Your messages in rooms are withdrawn. Votes you cast in a group decision still count, credited to a former member instead of you.
• Safety reports: reports other people made about an account are safety records and are kept. Reports you made keep their outcome but lose your name and the content you reported.
• Legal and security records: some records may be kept where the law requires it, or to prevent fraud and abuse, and only for as long as that purpose lasts.

Delete some data, keep your account

• A connected account: Profile, then the connection. Syncing stops straight away.
• Health data: revoke Marci's access on iOS in Settings, Privacy & Security, Health, or on Android in the Health Connect app.
• Anything else: email privacy@getmarci.ai and tell us what you want removed.
