Use your Marci apps from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Meta Muse, Grok, Cursor and any other tool that supports MCP. Ask your tool to log a workout, find a note or start a shared space, and it happens in your Marci apps. You choose which apps each tool can use, and whether it can only read them or also make changes.
Marci's MCP server address
https://mcp.getmarci.ai/mcp
Marci is invite-only for now. You need a Marci account to connect a tool. Join the waitlist or ask a friend on Marci for an invite code.
What the Marci connector does
Marci builds small apps around your life: a reading log, a meal plan, a trip with friends. The connector lets an AI tool you already use work with those apps, within the access you give it. It can:
List your apps, read their records and search them by meaning
Add and update records, and delete them when you ask
Save a file into an app record, or a document into your Marci Files
Find a Marci template and install it as a new app
Suggest a new app idea, which Marci builds only after you accept it in Marci
Start a new space of a shared app, invite your Marci friends or make an invite link
Open one of your apps right inside the conversation, in tools that can show apps
It cannot see your email, calendar, health data, location, memories, saved documents, your conversations with Marci, or your rooms and messages. It cannot post in your rooms. With your permission it can send space invitations, and an app's own actions can notify the people in a shared space. Private apps kept only on your phone never appear to any tool.
Before you start
A Marci account. Marci is invite-only while it is early. You sign in to the connector the same way you sign in to the Marci app, with Apple or Google.
A tool that supports remote MCP servers. Most connect with a sign-in page. For a tool that cannot sign in, Marci can make a private link instead (see Any other MCP client).
A few apps in Marci, or permission for the tool to install templates. The connector works with the apps you have; it does not design new ones itself.
Set up
Every tool connects the same way:
Add Marci in your tool with the address https://mcp.getmarci.ai/mcp.
Your tool opens a Marci sign-in page. Sign in with the account you use in the Marci app.
Choose which apps the tool may use, Read or Write for each, and anything else it may do. Then allow it.
You return to your tool, and it can use Marci straight away.
On a phone, the sign-in page can also hand the approval to the Marci app. Approve there, and Marci shows a six-digit code to type back on the page. Never share that code with anyone.
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, find Marci in the plugins directory and connect it. If Marci isn't listed for you, add a custom connector (in ChatGPT's developer mode) with the address above.
Sign in on the Marci page it opens and choose what ChatGPT may use.
Ask ChatGPT to use Marci in any chat. It can open your apps right in the conversation.
Claude
Claude on the web and desktop
Open Settings › Connectors. Find Marci in the directory, or choose Add custom connector and paste the address above.
Sign in on the Marci page it opens and choose what Claude may use.
Turn Marci on for a chat from the tools menu, and ask away.
Claude on iPhone and Android
Connectors you add on the web or desktop also work in the Claude mobile app. Add Marci there first, then use it from your phone.
Claude Code
Run this in your terminal, then type /mcp in Claude Code and choose Marci to sign in.
claude mcp add --transport http marci https://mcp.getmarci.ai/mcp
Claude works with your app data. Apps do not open inside Claude conversations.
Google Gemini
Gemini app
Where Marci is offered in Gemini's connected apps, connect it there and sign in on the Marci page it opens.
Cursor shows that Marci needs a sign-in. Choose it and sign in on the Marci page it opens.
Any other MCP client
Any other tool that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in can connect with the address above. Add it the way your tool adds a server, then sign in on the Marci page it opens.
A tool that cannot sign in: in Marci, open Settings › Connected tools and choose Make a private link. Pick the tool's apps first, then paste the link into your tool as its server address. Anyone with the link can use the apps you chose, so keep it to yourself. You see it once; make a new link whenever you need another copy, and the old one stops working.
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Muse, Grok and Dots are trademarks of their respective owners. Marci is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Optional: the setup prompt. In Marci, open Settings › Connected tools and pick your tool to copy its setup prompt. Paste it into your tool as standing instructions. It tells the tool what Marci is and how to keep your apps current.
Permissions
You decide what each tool can use when you connect it, and you can change it anytime in Marci under Settings › Connected tools. Changes apply from the tool's next request.
Apps
Your apps and shared apps are chosen separately: all of them (including ones you add or join later), or app by app.
Off: the tool cannot see the app.
Read: the tool can read and search the app's records.
Write: the tool can also add, change and delete records and run the app's actions.
In a shared app, the tool acts as you. It sees and changes only what your role in that app allows.
It can also
Each of these is a separate switch:
Open apps inside the tool: your app's own screen shows in the conversation when you ask to see it, in tools that can show apps
Install Marci templates: add an app from Marci's templates when it fits what you asked
Suggest new apps: send Marci an app idea; Marci builds it only after you accept
Start shared spaces: start a new space of a shared app for another group
Send invitations: invite your Marci friends, or make an invite link, for spaces you own
Save documents: keep a file or something it wrote in your Marci documents. It cannot read them back.
Apps a tool installs, apps built from its suggestions and spaces it starts are added to its access with Write.
Tools
These are the tools the connector offers. Each is marked by what it does to your data, matching the hints the connector gives your AI tool, so it can ask you before changing anything.
Read only reads
Write adds or changes data
Sensitive write can overwrite or delete data, or send something to other people
Reading your apps
list_appsRead
Lists the Marci apps this tool may use, with its access to each.
describe_appRead
Shows an app's record types, fields and actions, its open public links, and how to fill in each kind of record.
search_appRead
Finds records by what they say or mean, best match first.
query_appRead
Lists, filters, counts and totals records, up to 100 at a time.
list_spacesRead
Lists the spaces of a shared app the tool may use, with who is in each.
open_appRead
Opens one of your apps inside the conversation. The tool only shows the app; changes you make inside it are your own. Needs Write on the app and Open apps inside the tool. Not offered in Claude or Gemini.
Changing your apps
write_appSensitive write
Adds or updates records in an app, up to 50 at once. An update replaces the fields it changes. Needs Write.
add_fileWrite
Saves a file you shared, up to 20 MB, into Marci so a record can hold it. Needs Write.
delete_recordsSensitive write
Deletes the records you asked to delete. Needs Write.
run_app_methodSensitive write
Runs one of an app's own published actions or summaries. A summary only reads (Read is enough). An action, such as marking a chore done, can add, change or delete records, set reminders, notify the people in a shared space, or share a public link, and needs Write.
Templates and new apps
find_templatesRead
Searches Marci's public template catalog by keyword or category.
show_templatesRead
Shows matching templates as cards you can pick from, in tools that can show apps. Not offered in Claude or Gemini.
install_templateWrite
Adds a new app from a template. Needs Install Marci templates.
suggest_appWrite
Sends Marci an idea for a new app. It waits on your Marci Home screen, and nothing is built unless you accept. Needs Suggest new apps.
list_suggestionsRead
Lists the app ideas this tool sent you in the last month and whether you accepted them.
Shared spaces and invitations
create_spaceWrite
Starts a new, empty space of a shared app. Needs Start shared spaces.
list_inviteesRead
Lists your Marci friends you could invite to a space you own. Needs Send invitations.
create_inviteSensitive write
Invites a Marci friend to a space you own, or makes an invite link. Anyone using a link still signs in to Marci. Needs Send invitations.
list_invitesRead
Lists pending invitations to a space you own. Needs Send invitations.
revoke_inviteSensitive write
Cancels a pending invitation. People already in the space stay. Needs Send invitations.
Documents
save_documentWrite
Saves a file or text into your Marci documents, up to 20 MB. Marci reads it so you can search it in Marci; the tool cannot read your documents back. Needs Save documents.
Changes ask for a retry key, so a request your tool repeats after a dropped connection is applied once.
Example prompts
“What did I add to my reading log this month? Use Marci.”
“Log today's run in my Marci running app: 5 miles in 46 minutes.”
“Find a Marci template for tracking houseplants and install it.”
“Start a new space in my Marci trip planner called Tahoe weekend and make an invite link for Alex.”
“Save this packing list to my Marci documents.”
Limits and errors
Each connection can make up to 120 requests a minute.
Installing templates, app suggestions and app actions share a smaller budget of 20 a minute. Saving files into apps allows 10 a minute.
Files and documents can be up to 20 MB. A change can hold up to 50 records, and a query returns up to 100 records a page.
A connection expires after 90 days without use. Connect it again from your tool.
When a request fails, the tool receives a short error. The common ones:
Permission denied: the tool doesn't have the access it needs. Change it in Settings › Connected tools.
Rate limit: too many requests in a minute. Wait a moment and try again.
Revision conflict: the record changed since the tool read it. Read it again, then make the change.
Invalid credential: the connection was turned off, disconnected or expired. Connect again.
App unavailable: the app was deleted, or you are no longer in it.
Data and privacy
A tool receives only records from the apps you allow, plus the names of people in shared spaces it can use. With Send invitations on, it also sees the names of your Marci friends.
Marci never shares your email, calendar, health data, location, memories or saved documents through a connection.
What a tool receives is handled by that tool's provider under its own terms and privacy policy.
Marci keeps a log of each connection's activity for 7 days: which app, what kind of request, and how many records. Never the records themselves. You can review it in Settings › Connected tools.
Marci does not use connection data to train AI models, and does not sell it.
The full details are in our Privacy Policy. Don't send passwords, authentication codes, payment-card numbers or government ID numbers through a connection.
Disconnect or change access
In Marci, open Settings › Connected tools.
Pick the tool. Change its apps and switches, turn it off for a while, or choose Disconnect.
Turning a tool off or disconnecting it stops new requests at once. Anything already running finishes within two minutes. Disconnecting does not delete your app records, and it cannot delete copies the tool already has: use that tool's own controls for its history. You can also remove Marci from the tool's connector settings.
Deleting your Marci account disconnects every tool. See Account deletion.
Troubleshooting
Sign-in wasn't completed
Sign in with the same method you use in the Marci app, Apple or Google. You need a Marci account, and Marci is invite-only for now. If you don't have one yet, join the waitlist.
The tool can't see one of my apps
Check the tool's apps in Settings › Connected tools. Private apps kept only on your phone never appear to a tool. A new app counts only if you chose all apps, or turned it on.
The tool says it can't make a change
It needs Write on that app. In a shared app, your role there also has to allow the change.
The tool asks me to connect again
The connection was turned off, disconnected or unused for 90 days. Connect again from your tool; you choose its apps again.
My app doesn't open inside the conversation
Only some tools can show apps; Claude and Gemini show data only. The tool also needs Write on the app and the Open apps inside switch on. While Marci is still building an app's screens, its records already work; open it in Marci instead.
My tool can't sign in at all
Make a private link in Marci (Settings › Connected tools › Make a private link) and use it as the server address.
Security
Sign-in uses OAuth with PKCE. The tool never receives your Apple or Google sign-in, and its access is checked against your current choices on every request.
Private links are shown once and stored only in a form that can't be turned back into the link.
All traffic uses HTTPS.

Help
Email support@getmarci.ai with the tool's name, the time it happened and what you saw. Don't send passwords, codes, private links or sensitive records. Turn the connection off while we look into it if you no longer want it to have access.
